SMEG UK achieve real cost saving though vehicle tracking

Within a few months of installation the benefits were obvious as SMEG UK`s logistics manager Shaun Watson comments, "Already we have seen a 20% decrease in our overtime expenses, equating to at least £1,000 a month saving, which alone more than covers the cost of installing the system."

"Perhaps more surprising to us are the savings made through avoiding Congestion Charge fines since Asset Track has been fitted to our fleet. The system alerts us via geofencing each time one of our vehicles enters the charging zone, enabling us to arrange payment before a fine is incurred."

Rob Hart, Key Account Project Manager for Seven Eye adds, "It is very rewarding to see our customers benefiting so much from the implementation of our products. Sometimes it can be difficult for customers to see all the potential benefits, but SMEG UK is a great example of how easily and quickly savings can be made."

SMEG UK operates a fleet of vehicles that deliver to showrooms nationwide from their central hub in Portsmouth. The visibility the Seven Eye Asset Track system gives SMEG has enabled them to communicate more quickly and precisely with delivery locations as well as providing the ability to adjust delivery routes and redeploy vehicles to gain higher efficiency.

Shaun continues, "We have also not been disappointed with the professional service provided by Seven Eye, from every stage of the installation via their own engineers, to the training programme and after sales care definitely a top service which complements our own!".
