Sodexho Prestige nominate Seven Refrigeration as coldstore supplier
Sodexho Prestige, the Middlesex-based hospitality catering and logistics arm of the Sodexho Group, has nominated Seven Refrigeration as their preferred supplier of portable cold storage for all of their outside summer events.
This appointment follows a recommendation from Ascot Hospitality, Sodexho's operation at Ascot Racecourse, after eight units were hired from Seven Refrigeration for the prestigious Royal Ascot meeting at York in 2005. Subsequently further units were supplied to Sodexho for other race meetings.
Sodexho Prestige, who provide corporate hospitality at events like Chelsea Flower Show and Henley Royal Regatta and catering services at historic venues and leisure attractions such as Blenheim Palace and HMS Belfast, need the flexibility of short-term cold storage to help meet peaks of demand.
Sue Creed, Events Director commented, 'Seven are able to supply units for any period of time which provides us with an economical solution to our refrigeration needs for the various events'.
The events Seven Refrigeration will be supplying portable cold storage for include Chelsea Flower Show; The Open Golf Championship; The Ryder Cup; Burghley Horse Trials and Henley Regatta.
All of the cold stores benefit from being monitored 24/7 via a Seven Eye remote temperature monitoring device, fitted as standard, providing 'live' information available from any web access point as well as a fail-safe alert system.
Sue says, 'The fact that the stores are continuously monitored gives us peace of mind that the food will always be maintained at the correct temperature, but should anything go wrong, we are made aware immediately so that corrective action can be taken.'
