Dunkleys make portable coldstores more permanent
Northamptonshire company GFC Dunkleys, supply high quality frozen and chilled, sweet and savoury pies to the food service industry, wholesalers and major UK pub Companies.

Dunkleys had until recently utilised refrigerated trailers for additional cold storage when necessary, but operational practicalities as well as being focussed on Health and Safety issues lead them to seek a more protected and cost effective alternative.

Earlier this year Seven Refrigeration delivered 5 units in total to Dunkley's Wellingborough production site, three replaced existing trailers with two additional units to be used as a more long-term solution.

GFC Dunkleys see the Seven Refrigeration portable cold stores as a semi-permanent solution and have located them in order to be accessible direct from within the production area, making day-to-day operation of the stores much easier for the production staff.

A crucial factor for GFC Dunkleys in choosing Seven Refrigeration was that the units are fitted with a Seven Eye's 'Cool Track' system as standard. The web-based satellite temperature monitoring system means stock is monitored 24/Seven with alerts being sent via SMS and email should temperatures vary outside of set parameters.

Dr Mark Beeston, Product and Process Development for GFC Dunkleys comments, 'Cool Track' is what sets Seven apart from it's competitors as we have absolute peace of mind that not only will they fix any breakdown, but more importantly Seven and our own key members of staff know there is an issue as soon as it occurs. This drastically reduces the likelihood of stock being lost due to possible breakdowns or other issues occurring'.

Dr Beeston adds, 'The service we have received has been excellent making the transition from trailers to portable cold stores very straight forward with very little disruption to our operation'.
