As a result of substantial increase in chilled food production, The Cromer Crab Company called on Seven to provide portable cold storage solutions when their existing cold store facility could not cope with the increase in demand.

The Cromer Crab Company was established in 1980 and has been rapidly growing ever since operating from their state-of-the-art factory in Norfolk preparing and processing crab, lobster, prawn and other shellfish products, supplying supermarkets, catering distributors and food manufacturers in the UK and Europe.

With new cooking and cooling facilities and plans to further increase chilled dispatch capabilities and storage of ingredients, extra cold storage solutions were soon essential to keep pace with production - at which point Seven Refrigeration were contacted.

A detailed site survey was carried swiftly out to assess how Seven Refrigeration could resolve their immediate cold storage requirements.

It was determined that Sevens 20ft Premier units would be best suited as a result of site constraints, and in less than 10 days from initial contact, The Cromer Crab Company had two units fully operational on site.

The cold stores were also fitted with the Seven Eye satellite temperature monitoring system which enables the operator to monitor and record temperatures via the internet 24/7 and also receive alerts via email or SMS, of any temperature deviation outside of predetermined parameters.

Nick Samujlik of The Cromer Crab Company comments, 'Seven Refrigeration efficiently assessed our needs and came up with a suitable solution, extremely quickly. We are very impressed with the exceptional service and backup support provided by Seven and would not hesitate to recommend them'.
